Event Date: Tuesday, September 28, 2010, 7:00 pmLocation: Pakistani American Cultural Center, 1590 Oakland Road, Suite B213, San Jose, CA Khalid Mahmood, Director of Labour Education Foundation (LEF), and member of Labour Relief Campaign (LRC) will speak on the current flood crisis, relief efforts, the demand to write off loans and the condition of peasants and labourers in affected regions. The Labor Education Foundation (LEF) was established in 1993 with a vision of "empowering the working class to protect its social, economic and political rights." It also works to promote democratic norms, peaceful relations between Pakistan and India, and literacy among youth and trade unions.
